This museum is dedicated to the life and work of the late American comedian and actor, most famous for playing the role of Sgt Ernie Bilko in The Phil Silvers Show which ran on the BBC for a record-breaking 47 years.

Launched in 2015, it now boasts a generous display of personal artefacts kindly donated by Phil Silvers’ family.  Admirers of the museum include Danny Baker, Tim Vine, John Archer, Phill Jupitus, Paul Merton, Nick Hancock, Paul Bradley, Captain Sensible and internationally Dick Van Dyke, Jeff Garlin (The Goldbergs), and Mark Hamill (Star Wars).

Know Before You Go

The Phil Silvers Museum is open to the general public five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry is currently free and all visitors who sign the guestbook receive an exclusive Phil Silvers / Sgt Bilko badge. Free parking is available in FarGo's dedicated carpark in Paynes Lane.
